Management of the consortium "Biosphere Reserve" AVIRERI VRAEM””

At the general meeting of the founders of the AVIVERI VRAEM Biosphere Reserve, the Heads of the Reserve’s activities in different regions of Peru were selected.

First Manager of Eco-Social Projects
The First Manager is a representative of the Project Committee of the Municipal community Norvraem. The appointed manager is responsible for coordinating the eco-social work in the Transition Zone of the Reserve in the Satipo Province.

Head of socio-economic and educational projects in indigenous communities
The Ashaninka Machiguenga del Rio Apurimac (OARA) organization performs the function of the Committee representative and initiates the development project for the Biosphere Reserve. OARA is responsible for coordinating socio-economic and educational projects in indigenous communities in the transition zone of the Biosphere Reserve in La Convención Province.

First Provincial Manager
The representative of the Provincial Municipality of Satipo (a representative of the Environment Department) was chosen as the first Provincial Manager. The Provincial manager is responsible for coordinating the biosocial work of the buffer zone of the Biosphere Reserve on the territory of the province of Satipo.

Second Provincial Manager
The representative of the Provincial Municipality of La Convención (the member of the Environment Department) was assigned as the Second Provincial Manager. His responsibilities will include coordinating the eco-social work of the transition zone of the Biosphere Reserve on the territory of the province of La Convención.

Second Manager of Eco-Social Projects
The Representative of the Biosphere Reserve Project Governing Committee has been appointed as the second Manager of eco-social projects. The scope of his duties lies within the Provincial Commonwealth of the Amazon Convention. In this regard, he is responsible for coordinating eco-social work in the transition zone of the Amazon Biosphere Reserve.

Head of local research and environmental projects
The organization’s representative involved in the Biosphere Reserve project development was appointed to coordinate and implement research and projects in private protected areas in the central, buffer, and transition zones of the Biosphere Reserve.

Project Manager for the restoration of degraded areas
These projects are managed by the representative of the Biosphere Reserve Project Advisory Body, who is responsible for coordinating and implementing projects to restore degraded natural areas and manage sustainable natural resources in all transition areas of the Biosphere Reserve.

First Manager for working with biosphere reserves
The First Manager for working with nature reserves was appointed. The area of his responsibilities implies the management of the Biosphere Reserve. The head of the National Park "Otishi" was chosen for this position. He is a representative of the administration with competence in managing resources that affect the conservation of the Biosphere Reserve. At the same time, he represents the General Management of the ANP Zones (SERNANP).

Second Manager for working with biosphere reserves
At the same time, the Second Manager for Working with nature reserves was chosen. The area of responsibility lies in the management of the buffer zone of the Biosphere Reserve. The head of the Machiguenga Municipal Reserve was appointed the Second Manager of the project. He is also a representative of the state administration with competence in managing resources that affect the conservation of the Biosphere Reserve and a representative of the General Management of the ANP Zones (SERNANP).

First Manager for working with native communities
The representative of the contractor for the management of the Ashaninka communal reserve (ECO-Ashaninka) (Satipo Province) was chosen for the position of the First Manager for working with native communities. The scope of the Manager's responsibilities implies the coordination of eco-social, socio-economic work and management between indigenous organizations, communities and the Peruvian State in the buffer and transition zones of the Biosphere Reserve, located in the province of Satipo.
