Great scientific rediscovery of species
The rediscovery of a beetle (Ronbuberia eurytarsipennis W. Horn) occurred 115 years later after the first description by W. Horn
115 years ago, more precisely, in 1905, the Ronbuberia eurytarsipennis beetle was first described as new to science. Since then, these insects were considered extinct and were never collected in the wild. But due to the laborious work of our entomologist team in the field study, three live specimens of these beautiful beetles were discovered.
On this occasion, a detailed phenotypic description of males and females of this species was made for the first time. And also, a scientific article was published with the collected information.
